Suffolk (and Essex) visit July 2018

Last Thursday we took our campervan up to Suffolk. We first visited Framlingham (with castle).
The next day we went to Sutton Hoo. First of all we did a 6 mile walk, which included views across to Woodbridge. We then went around the exhibition. We took the guided tour around the burial grounds. And then finally to the house of the owner at the time of the discovery of the treasure.
On the Saturday, we started making our way home. First of all we went to Woodbridge. Then we went to Coggeshall near Colchester, Essex. There are 2 National Trust buildings here. The first is the Grange Barn, that thankfully has been restored. Not too much to see here have to admire the size of this agricultural workshop. Further into town is the former home of a wool baron, Paycocke’s house and garden.The house and history is interesting but we found the garden rather disappointing.
The final part of the journey home was less stressful as the World Cup football match had removed many drivers from the M25 motorway.
