Clandon Park, Surrey – with the Maoris

Today we revisited Clandon Park, Surrey (National Trust – http://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/clandon-park/ ). They have the only Maori meeting house in England. It has a thatched roof because the reconstructor thought that it looked like thatch from a photograph – if fact the photograph showed the fallout from a recently erupted volcano.

The Ngati Ranana London Maori Club (http://www.ngatiranana.co.uk/ ) were performing today and this was an ideal opportunity to take some photos. We really enjoyed their performance.
