The website ‘Lives of the First World War’ helps to bring details of people involved int the First World War together. I have extracted the results of various searches (based on the One Name Study variations) from their website and matched where possible the details on my data base.
There are various discrepancies of which the name spelling is the prime one. There may be two or more individuals (according to the website) who are in fact one person. The website tends to give just one ‘Service and Unit’ and one ‘Service Number’. However if a person served in more than one ‘Service and Unit’ he could have more than one ‘Service Number’; Unfortunately the website tends to have the wrong mix.
PDF Document – Lives in World War 1 gives a list of the people and a linked summary. There may be further details on the individual in a further document for that person.
