On the Friday we visited Montacute House (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nationaltrust.org.uk\/montacute-house\">https:\/\/www.nationaltrust.org.uk\/montacute-house<\/a>) .<\/p>\n<p>Saturday started with a bike ride, starting from Childhay,which was due to be about 18 miles but was extended when a road \u00a0turned into a footpath only causing a 5 mile detour. A visit to Lyme Regis was followed by a 4.5 mile walk. The evening was finished off with dinner in a local pub.<\/p>\n<p>Sunday saw another hilly bike ride to Charmouth and back. After lunch we drove to Evershot, Somerset and had a 6 mile walk.<\/p>\n<p>We had marvellous weather over the weekend but Monday brought rain.
