Loseley Park , Surrey

Today we visited Loseley Park near Guildford. Some people may know of it from the ice cream or yogurts with that name but they are no longer made there.

The house was rebuilt in Queen Elizabeth I’s time because the original house was considered too small for her to visit. There is panelling from Non-Such House (built for Henry VII’s last wife) [- but the house no longer exists].

We were fortunate in that we managed to tour the flower gardens before the rain fell. Attached are some photos from the garden. We did tour the house but they don’t allow photography inside.
