Transport Planners should cycle

I believe that those responsible for planning our roads should have an employment clause that requires them to cycle at least one day per week. This could be either to and from work or within their working environments. This should include everyone in this category up to the Minister for Transport. Perhaps then there will be a better appreciation of the dangers they expose cyclists to and they will take this into consideration when doing their job. Do you think this could ever take off?
