Yorkshire and Derbyshire visit – part 2

From Yorkshire we drove south to Derbyshire and stopped for 4 nights near Buxton. The first day was spent in Buxton – it seems to have passed it’s heyday and doesn’t live up to the description of England’s finest Spa town. The next day we did a 10 mile walk starting and finishing at Monsal Head. Great scenery and we were lucky with the weather – it started to rain just as we returned to the car park. The final day of touring was around Castleton. Again great scenery. We shall certainly return to Derbyshire. Here are some photos from this part of the visit.
