I’ve mentioned before that my father, who is an iris hybridiser, named one of his plants after me. Some specimens have been in the trials at the Royal Horticultural Society’s test beds at Wisley, Surrey. I was told by my father at the weekend that the trials have been completed and the iris has been given a Certificate of Merit.
